Will Hyaluronic Acid Help Dry Skin?

Yes, when applied topically, via the Hydraluron Moisture Serum, hyaluronic acid works to soothe and hydrate dry skin. Its humectant properties and abilities to bind 10x its weight in water keep the skin hydrated throughout the day.

What Is A Moisture Serum?

A moisture serum, such as the Hydraluron Moisture Serum, is lighter and thinner than a standard moisturiser. It contains smaller molecules to allow deeper skin penetration to hydrate and prevent water loss at a deeper level.

Key ingredients:

Hyaluronic Acid (sodium hyaluronate): Hyaluronic acid is a complex sugar compound that is naturally found in the skin. It supports the collagen and elastin meshwork in the dermis. Hyaluronic acid decreases with age, but if applied topically, it will increase skin firmness, restore elasticity, and reduce wrinkles as it will rebuild the dermal meshwork and stimulate fibroblast activity.

Hyaluronic acid can actively bind 1000x its weight in water, allowing it to draw intense moisture into the skin. Different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid compounds penetrate the skin at different levels allowing the activity of this active to be localised. Hyaluronic acid is non-sensitising, anti-inflammatory, oil-free and has antioxidant benefits.

Sodium hyaluronate is a compound consisting of hyaluronic acid bound to a sodium atom. This compound promotes stability and avoids oxidative damage to hyaluronic acid upon storage.

Ahnfeltia Concinna Extract Algae Extract (Red Marine Algae Extract): This botanical extract is a beneficial mineral that acts as an additional source of hydration and nutrients for the skin. Its ability to increase circulation in the skin's dermis enhances the penetration and action of hyaluronic acid when administered together.

Propanediol: This ingredient is often used in cosmetic formulations as it can enhance the penetration of other actives. It also has deeply hydrating properties.

Water, Propanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carbomer, Butylene Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Ahnfeltia Concinna Extract, Disodium EDTA, Chlorphenesin, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Sodium Benzoate, Sorbic Acid, Phenoxyethanol.

Oil-free, silicone-free, phthalate-free, sulphate-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free, colourant-free, free from drying alcohols, mineral oil-free, not tested on animals.
