Oskia Skincare is a leading skincare brand developed and created by a team of experts including nutritionists, cosmetic scientists and doctors. They are renowned for their award-winning innovative formulations that are bioavailable and effective.

All of their products, from their skin care to supplements, have been designed using biotechnology combined with cellular nutrients and advanced actives that are beneficial and gentle to both your skin and the environment. Plus, all the items come in 98% recyclable packaging making them vegetarian-friendly!

Oskia Skincare uses MSM, short for Methylsulphonylmethane, as its main active ingredient. Nicknamed the 'beauty mineral' due to its many benefitting properties to the skin, MSM helps reduce inflammation, stimulate collagen production, and enhance circulation for a brighter complexion.

In 2009, Georgie Cleeve founded Oskia with the revolutionary idea of nutrition-based skincare. One of their main active ingredients is MSM aka 'Beauty Mineral', a natural form of organic sulfur.

Georgie's father, who had introduced MSM to the market over thirty years ago for use as joint supplement for race horses, encouraged Georgie to try MSM to fix her cartilage damage caused by a skiing accident. Surprisingly, not only did this remedy improve her joint damage symptoms, but it also significantly improved her skin health, acne and eczema symptoms as well as improving the condition of her hair and nails.

Oskia Skincare began as an idea focused on harnessing the power of minerals to benefit skin health. This concept evolved over three years of research and development into a skincare brand that is unique in its use of nutrition and bioavailable nutrients like minerals, vitamins, proteins, and essential fatty acids.

Their team of internationally recognized skincare experts and nutritionists from the UK have dedicated over 10 years perfecting their formulations which are made in their own Monmouth factory and lab. With Oskia, you won't just feel the results instantly, but sustainably.

Who founded Oskia?

OSKIA is a brand passionate about nutrients and their effects on skin health. Founded by husband and wife duo Georgie and George Gordon, the company has been dedicated to nutritional skincare research for the past 10 years. Through their innovative approach, they have developed unique bio-available formulas to help target specific skin concerns.

A lower age limit of 28 is recommended, unless treating acne, scaring or hyper-pigmentation.

Reduce frequency if sensitivity occurs and caution should be taken to avoid eye contact, broken skin, or contact with children. In addition, it should not be used during pregnancy, lactation, or in combination with other retinol/retinoid treatments as it may make skin more sensitive to the sun.

What is retinoid sleep serum level 2?

Oskia Super R capsules - Level 2 are formulated with 0.5% HPR and provide a powerful combination of anti-aging ingredients. These capsules help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines while supporting collagen production for firmer skin. They also help regulate sebum production and brighten skin tone, as well as deliver antioxidant protection against environmental aggressors.

Should you use a retinoid serum every night?

The Oskia Super R capsules are a great choice for those looking to incorporate retinoids into their daily skincare routines. Retinoids are extremely advanced active ingredients that help to reverse the signs of photoaging.

Super-R Retinoid Sleep Serum Capsules are formulated with encapsulated retinoid technology, which helps to minimise irritation and maximise the efficacy of the product. Start off by using these capsules once a week, and gradually increase frequency up to every other night or even every night depending on how tolerant your skin is.

Is 60 too old to start using retinol?

If you're in your 60s and haven't yet incorporated retinol into your skin care routine, fear not! It's never too late to start using Oskia Super-R Retinoid Sleep Serum Capsules, as evidence shows that people in their 60s and beyond can still experience great results with retinoids.

What is the difference between retinol and retinoid?

Retinoid is a broad term that refers to the multiple different forms of vitamin A such as retinol, retinal, retinyl esters, and hydroxy pinacolone retinoate. Retinol is a form of vitamin A, therefore,  retinol is a type of retinoid.

Oskia Super R capsules contain 0.5% hydroxy pinacolone retinoate. This means it contains a retinoid. It is a powerful anti-aging active ingredient that provides all the benefits of a prescription level treatment, while still being available as an over-the-counter product. Not only does it help reduce wrinkles and fine lines, but they also provide hydration and protection from environmental stressors.

How do I know if retinol is working?

Wondering if Oskia Super R capsules are working? While retinoids like Oskia's help to remove clogged pores and fight acne, during the first few months of using these capsules, you may experience your skin looking worse - this is sometimes referred to as a 'retinol purge'. However, if you persist with use of this product, you can expect to see much clearer skin in the long run. You will also see smother skin texture.

What happens if I use retinol every night?

Oskia Super R capsules are designed to be gentle enough for nightly use and safe enough even for those with sensitive skin. Start with one capsule every other night, then slowly add more as your skin adjusts so you can reap the benefits of using retinol without the risk of inflammation or skin damage.

Key Ingredients

Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR or Granactive retinoid), 0.5% - Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR) is a fourth-generation retinoid and the only form of retinoid apart from Tretinoin or Retinoid Acid that does not require metabolic conversion in the skin to be effective. HPTR is oil-soluble so it absorbs quickly into the skin cells and binds directly to their retinoid receptors.

0.5% HPTR is the highest level permitted under EU legislation for cosmetic products, and it has outstanding skin benefits, including reducing wrinkles, dark spots, and acne.

HPR not only inhibits the collagen-destroying enzymes called matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), but additionally boosts natural collagen synthesis while also stimulating natural moisturizing factors such as glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and filaggrin. As a result, the epidermis becomes thicker and more compacted.  It also can regulate sebum production which makes HPR an ideal option for those with acne-prone skin.

Pro-Vitamin D3 - Pro-Vitamin D3, a vital component in the formation of Vitamin D. This naturally occurring nutrient is an essential for maintaining strong and healthy skin.

Encapsulated Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate - Encapsulated Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate is an antioxidant powerhouse, designed to provide maximum anti-aging benefits. It is a supercharged type of Vitamin C that can penetrate deeply for long-lasting and visible firming, brightening and toning benefits. It also has the advantage of being stable and oil-soluble, which means it won't break down or degrade in products or on your skin.

Turmeric - Turmeric is a spice made from the ground root of the Curcuma longa plant. Aside from its delicious and slightly smoky flavour, turmeric contains highly active phytoactives including curcuminoids which posses anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and cleansing properties. These beneficial compounds work to improve the look of skin tone and complexion, while also reducing the appearance of wrinkles and scars.

Defiensil™ - Defiensil™ is a unique facial moisturiser that contains Omega 3 fatty acids to soothe and calm the skin. This nourishing cream helps to restore moisture, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and cellulite, and improve skin elasticity.

Alaria Esculenta and Rosamox™ - Firms and hydrates the skin.

Encapsulated Co-Enzyme Q10 & Vitamin E - The combination of Encapsulated Co-Enzyme Q10 and Vitamin E provides anti-oxidant and anti-glycation benefits. These two components can protect against cell damage from oxidation as well as reduce the rate of glycation, a reaction between carbohydrates and proteins, which can lead to inflammation and other diseases such as diabetes.

Hemi-Squalane - Hemi-Squalane is a plant-derived saturated fat that helps to restore the lipid barrier, balance skin's natural oils, and improve hydration and smoothness. Saturated fats have single bonds within their fatty acid chains, which makes them more stable and resistant to free-radical attack.
