Description

Developed for dry and sensitive skin, the Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash exfoliates without stripping skin moisture for a deluxe cleansing experience.

What's Inside Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash?

This gentle cleanser features a mix of plant extracts and biotech ingredients that address skin hydration. In terms of ingredients, Jojoba grains exfoliate, elderflower tones, and milk thistle soothes and reduces redness. Furthermore, added castor oils also cleanse the pores and even skin tone.

Additionally, the inclusion of omega 3 and antioxidants strengthen and protect the skin. Omega 3 skin benefits include the regulation of oil production, and moisture retention. As well as this, omega 3 also has anti-inflammatory properties. The added antioxidants in the Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash also protect the skin's surface from free radical damage.

Though this exfoliating cleanser is suitable for all skin types, it is particularly effective for dry, flaky, itchy, or sensitive skin.

Dealing With Dry Skin

What causes dry skin? Several factors! Dry skin occurs as a result of water loss from the skin's outer layer. Cold climates, aging, over-washing, skin conditions, medical treatments, and harsh ingredients in skincare products can trigger it.

While it may seem counteractive to exfoliate dry skin, it is actually beneficial. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells from the skin which allows for better penetration of hydrating skincare products. What's more, it also improves skin tone and texture.
Because of its gentle, hydrating ingredients, the Bia Exfoliating Wash is suitable for daily use and enables you to cleanse and exfoliate simultaneously!

Data Backed Results From The Lab:

  • 100% of users experienced a 47% decrease in skin flakiness at 4 weeks
  • 74% of users experienced a 14% decrease in TEWL (transepidermal water loss) at 4 weeks

The Codex Beauty Bia Exfoliating Wash is essential to add to your skincare routine for a deep but gentle cleanse. After usage, skin is cleansed, brighter, and full of moisture.

The Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash gentle cleanser is a creamy formula high in fatty acids and antioxidants that firm, clarify, and reduce inflammation. Furthermore, the Bia Exfoliating Wash formula does not strip the skin of its natural moisture, but provides gentle exfoliation with jojoba beads.

The Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash has significant cleansing capacity and is able to remove PM2.5 pollution. On top of this, it's recognised by The National Psoriasis Foundation and is clinically-proven to decrease trans epidermal water loss by 14%. As well as this, skin flaking also improved by 47.1% in 4 weeks in clinical studies

Codex Beauty Labs is a bioscience company that combines the science of plant biology with biotech innovations. This results in a range of state-of-the-art skincare.

Working with plant scientists and ethno-botanists, Codex Beauty take pride in formulating their products with the highest quality ingredients. All products are cosmos natural, vegan-friendly, and cruelty-free. What's more, Codex Beauty ensures that their products support the microbiome with their breakthrough PreservX system.

The brand features two collections: Bia and Antu. The Bia hydrating collection blends native Irish botanicals and BiaComplex. This improves skin hydration and moisture retention. Furthermore, it also enhances cleansing without stripping moisture, and thus protecting the skin barrier.

This collection is especially ideal for those who have sensitive skin, including psoriasis, excema and rosacea. The BiaComplex featured in this hydrating line is a patented bio-active blend which not only nourishes the skin but forms a protective, water-retaining film.

On the other hand, the Antu brightening collection harnesses the power of bio-actives from Patagonian plants. This protects and heals the skin. This collection includes a powerful antioxidant range and is beneficial for anti-aging. The featured AntuComplex was developed to soothe irritation and calm inflammation.

The protective formula comprises a unique blend of M3 (matico, maqui & murtilla), and hydrolysed hyaluronic acid. Additionally, also present are plant and fruit extracts from South America, recognised for their immuno-stimulant and analgesic properties.

Codex Beauty founder Dr. Barbara Paldus created the brand in response to her concerns towards the safety, transparency, and sustainability of the skincare industry. Rather than solely thinking about 'cosmetics', Dr Paldus takes a, scientific, data-driven approach to skincare. All Codex skin care products are micro-biome certified which means they wont harm your microbiome, or cause inflammatory disorders.

With Codex beauty you can heal, nourish, and protect your skin.

How Should I Use Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash?

Apply a small amount of Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash cleanser onto your face and gently massage with small circular movements. After, rinse with water.

How Often Should I Use Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash?

Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash is suitable for daily use. It's best to use exfoliators just once daily, but because of its gentle nature, the Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash can be used in both the morning and the evening.

What Is Exfoliating Wash?

Exfoliating Cleansers, such as the Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash, help save both time and money. They combine exfoliating power with gentle cleansing to melt away dirt and dead skin cells for a smoother, brighter complexion.

Is The Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash Vegan And Cruelty-Free?

Yes, all Codex Beauty products, including the Codex Bia Exfoliating Wash, are certified vegan by The Vegan Society and certified cruelty free by Cruelty Free International under The Leaping Bunny Program.

Key Ingredients:

BiaComplex: This patented bio-active blend moisturises and creates a protective, water-retaining film over the skin. Moreover, its nourishing formula features a mix of oil infusions combined with aqueous equivalents. BiaComplex is the base of Codex hydration products and is soothing and anti-irritant.

Sambucus Nigra (Elderflower) Water: Elderflower is high in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties which makes it effective at protecting the skin and soothing irritation. It is a common skincare ingredient as it is a humectant and emollient. Because of this, it has beneficial hydrating and moisturising qualities. Additionally, elderflower contains plant acids that gently tone the skin.

Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil: Castor oil is a common skincare ingredient to promote hydration. It acts as a humectant - a vital substance that maintains skin hydration. Castor oil skin benefits include skin tone balancing, pore cleansing, moisturisation, and acne reduction.

Silybum Marianum (Milk Thistle) Oil: Milk thistle is an excellent emollient, which helps the skin to retain moisture. Furthermore, it has detoxifying, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties which makes it a useful ingredient for treating acne. As well as this, its antioxidant qualities protect the skin from free radical damage, which can cause premature skin aging.

Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil: This hydrating oil has an abundance of skin healing properties. Benefits of jojoba oil include light exfoliation, moisturisation, and anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities. Moreover, jojoba is highly nutritious. It contains nutrients such as vitamin E and B, as well as antioxidants and minerals including zinc, copper, and chromium. All of these work together to soothe and moisturise the skin.
